FREE Summer Sewing Classes
at Salem Lutheran School
These classes are for the BEGINNER sewer. The plan is to teach the basics of how to use a
sewing machine, complete simple projects, and prepare students to do their own projects so
they may go on to more advanced sewing classes. Our goal is to have every student acquire
enough skills to be comfortable with a sewing machine and how it works. This will hopefully
enable them to follow easy YouTube videos or make something they see on Pinterest. We will
be teaching 2 to 3 projects, depending on time and skills acquired.
Theses classes will be held in the Cardinal Café for 3 weeks from 6:30 – 8:30 pm

All supplies will be provided. NO purchases are necessary. We encourage all students to bring
a friend. The class is open to kids ages 7 to 18. We would like a parent or adult to accompany
children from ages 7 to 10. There will be experienced sewers on hand to assist with any
questions. It will be a fun experience for the kids as well as the adults.
Registration forms are included and can be turned in to the Salem School office.
Questions can be directed to Pat Bodary 989 413-6746 or Pam Strauch 989 666-8612.
